
Kim Haines created Portland Style Cheesecake out of her home in 1989. After the kids and the business grew, the bakery moved to its current, larger location in SE Portland in 1996.
Kim began by developing her own recipes, initially with just two flavors: her signature Portland Style (or Amaretto) and Hazelnut Frangelico. Today the bakery offers over twenty different flavors as well as other dessert products such as Marionberry Cobbler and Carrot Cake.
Though the business has grown from mixing each cheesecake by hand, all product is still made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients. The cheesecakes are never frozen, do not contain any preservatives, and are delivered directly from the bakery to assure freshness.
